Lady Quilter, 10" x 19", was created as part of the Spirit of Mississippi series of original tissue paper artworks when Sr. Mary lived in the Delta area of Mississippi with several other religions sisters.
Praise the Lord was created as part of the Spirit of Mississippi series of original tissue paper artworks; it is 19" x 10".
School Days, 19" x 10", is another piece created by Sr. Mary for the Spirit of Mississippi series, while she lived and worked with the people of the Delta area.
The Spirit Freed is made of tissue paper and measures 11" x 17". "My body's gettin' weaker but everyday my spirit's gettin' stronger. One of these days, my spirit'll be so strong my body jes' won't be able to hold it." Miss Rosie Franklin
The Circle, 14" x 16", was produced around 1991 while Sr. Mary was working in the Delta area of Mississippi.
What's Cookin', 14" x 18", is part of the Spirit of Mississippi series in which Sr. Mary created in colorful tissue paper the every day lives of the people of the Mississippi Delta.
